Method
Prepare the Crostini
- Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with olive oil.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden and crisp. Let cool slightly.
Make the Whipped Feta
- In a blender, combine feta, cream cheese, olive oil, lemon juice, and black pepper.
- Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down sides as needed. Chill until ready to use.
Prepare the Hot Honey
- Warm the honey and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan over low heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and let it infuse for 5–10 minutes. Strain if desired.
Assemble
- Spread a spoonful of whipped feta on each crostini.
- Drizzle with warm hot honey and serve immediately.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in the fridge for about 2-3 days. Assemble crostini just before serving for best results. Reheat crostini in the oven to restore crunch.
