  • 2 large large potatoes These can be russet or Yukon Gold.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can be swapped with avocado oil.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • to taste herbs for garnish Fresh herbs like parsley or chives work well.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and peel the potatoes. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut the potatoes into heart shapes.
Cooking
  1. In a bowl, toss the heart-shaped potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until well coated.
  2. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  3. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the potatoes are crispy and golden brown.
  4. Serve warm, garnished with herbs if desired.

Notes

Leftover heart-shaped bites can be stored in the fridge for about 3-4 days or frozen in an airtight container for up to 3 months. For reheating, place them back in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain crispiness.
