  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • Cooking spray or butter for greasing the pan

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain off any excess fat.
  3. Season the meat mixture with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce if using.
  4. Grease a 9-inch pie dish and spread the beef mixture evenly across the bottom.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef.
  6. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and flour until smooth. Pour this mixture evenly over the beef and cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden and the center is set.
  2. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3–4 days. To reheat, pop slices in the microwave or use the oven. You can also freeze it for up to 2 months after it cools completely.
