Ingredients

For the snowballs
  • 1 cup butter (softened) Make sure it's softened for easy mixing.
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed nuts (optional) Can be replaced with crushed pretzels for a twist.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until well incorporated.
  3. Stir in the shredded coconut, vanilla extract, and crushed nuts if using.
  4. Form the mixture into small balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Refrigerate for at least an hour to firm up.
  6. Once set, roll the snowballs in additional coconut or powdered sugar if desired before serving.

Notes

Using non-stick gloves can help when rolling the mixture into balls—less mess, more fun! You can also mix in orange zest or crushed Oreo cookies for a flavor twist. For a vegan version, use dairy-free butter and coconut milk.
