  • 2 cups cooked rice Fluffy and warm
  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced Ensure it's cooked through
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Adds saltiness and umami
  • 2 tablespoons honey Can be substituted with maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar For acidity
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil For flavor
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced To enhance the sauce flavor
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced Adds a warm spice
Garnishes
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, sliced For topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Stir until well mixed.
Cooking
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add the diced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
  2. Pour the sauce over the chicken and allow it to simmer for about 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Serving
  1. Serve the sticky chicken over cooked rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to a month. Optionally add veggies like broccoli or bell peppers for additional nutrition.
