Ingredients
  

For the Quesadillas
  • 1 lb ground beef Use fresh ground beef for best flavor.
  • to taste salt Season the beef well.
  • to taste pepper Freshly ground is recommended.
  • to taste garlic powder Adds flavor to the beef.
  • 4 large flour tortillas Choose your favorite size.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese Cheddar for a sharper taste, American for creaminess.
Optional Toppings
  • to taste pickles Adds a nice tang.
  • to taste diced onions For additional crunch.
  • to taste burger sauce For dipping.

Method
 

Cooking the Beef
  1. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Press a small handful of ground beef directly onto one half of each tortilla. Season well with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Cook beef side down for 2-3 minutes until browned.
Assembling the Quesadillas
  1. Flip the tortilla over, sprinkle a generous amount of cheese, and fold it in half.
  2. Grill both sides until crispy and melty.
  3. Slice and serve with your favorite burger toppings or dipping sauce.

Notes

These quesadillas can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in a skillet for best texture.
