Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound sausage Ground sausage, preferably breakfast sausage.
  • 6 pieces eggs Large eggs.
  • 1 cup milk Whole milk or your preferred milk alternative.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix of cheeses.
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 cup bread cubes For a more filling casserole.
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables Bell peppers, spinach, or any other favorite veggies.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned; drain the excess fat.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Assembly
  1. In a greased baking dish, layer the cooked sausage, followed by any optional bread or vegetables.
  2. Pour the egg mixture over the top and sprinkle with cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven for best texture!
