- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until it’s browned and fragrant.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until smooth.
- Grease a baking dish and layer in the cooked sausage, followed by the bread cubes (if using) and vegetables.
- Pour the egg mixture over the layers, then generously sprinkle with cheese and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is beautifully golden.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Prep sausage and vegetables ahead of time for convenience. The casserole can be made ahead, refrigerated, or frozen until ready to bake. For vegan options, substitute eggs with tofu scramble and cheese with a plant-based alternative.
