  • 24 pieces Oreo cookies, roughly chopped Use for the base of the cake.
  • 1 box instant chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz) This helps create the creamy layer.
  • 2 cups cold milk Must be cold for the pudding to set properly.
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (15.25 oz) Dry mix to be sprinkled on top.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Adds richness and helps with texture.
  • 1 cup whipped topping (such as Cool Whip) For topping before serving.
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional) For additional garnish, if desired.
  • Extra pieces Oreo cookies for garnish (optional) Use for decoration.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the chopped Oreo cookies evenly over the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes.
  4. Pour the pudding mixture evenly over the Oreos.
  5. Sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix over the pudding layer.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes or until the top is set and slightly crisp.
  8. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
  9. Top with whipped topping, mini chocolate chips, and extra Oreo cookies if desired.
  10. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For serving, add whipped cream and mini chocolate chips for extra flavor. Store covered in the fridge for up to 5 days.
