Ingredients

Pasta and Sauce Ingredients
  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat well with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Under-cook the spaghetti slightly if you want to reheat it later. Swap heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version that packs flavor. Incorporate sautéed vegetables for added texture and flavor.
