Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, egg, ketchup, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Layer half of the meat mixture in a baking dish, followed by half of the cooked macaroni and half of the cheddar cheese. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to create layers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until meat is cooked through and cheese is bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Perfectly serves with steamed veggies or a simple salad. For added flavor, consider crispy bacon bits or extra cheese on top.
