  • 1 lb Ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 medium Yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 28 oz Crushed tomatoes, one 28-oz can
  • 4 cups Chicken or beef broth
  • 1 tsp Dried basil
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp Red pepper flakes, optional for heat
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • 8 oz Lasagna noodles, broken into bite-size pieces
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Brown the ground meat until it's deeply caramelized and flavorful.
  2. Sauté diced onion and garlic until fragrant, soft, and translucent.
  3. Stir in the tomato paste and cook until it darkens and aromas develop.
  4. Add the crushed tomatoes, broth, herbs, and broken noodles. Let it simmer until everything is tender.
  5. Ladle into bowls and top with the cheese blend and fresh parsley to serve.

Notes

To store leftovers, keep in the fridge for about 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. For extra creaminess, add a splash of cream or use a creamy cheese like mascarpone.
