Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
Cooking
- In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and onions. Sauté until tender.
- Stir in the flour, and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until thickened.
- Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Notes
Serve with mashed potatoes or noodles for a complete meal. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
