  • 1 tsp baking powder

Wet Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups apples, peeled and chopped Choose firm apples for the best flavor.
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce Keep the cake moist.
  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup Adjust sweetness to your taste.
  • ¼ cup coconut oil, melted Can substitute with melted butter.
  • 2 large eggs For binding the ingredients.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Enhances flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the chopped apples, applesauce, honey or maple syrup, melted coconut oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, powdered sugar, or drizzled honey for an extra charm. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
