Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar or alternative sweetener You can swap with natural sweeteners such as stevia.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce Can be substituted with mashed banana or silken tofu for variation.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Cooking
  • Cooking spray For greasing the air fryer basket.
  • Sugar and cinnamon mix For coating after cooking.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Add applesauce and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll the dough into small bite-sized balls.
  3. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  4. Place the dough balls in the basket and cook for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. While they’re still warm, roll them in a cinnamon-sugar mixture before serving.

Notes

These churro bites can last about 3-4 days in the fridge if stored in an airtight container. To keep them longer, freeze them for about a month and reheat in the air fryer.
