  • 2 tubes crescent dough sheets Use refrigerated dough for best results.
  • 1 pound deli-sliced ham Feel free to choose your favorite deli ham.
  • 8 sticks cheddar cheese sticks Mozzarella or pepper jack cheese can be used as alternatives.
Butter Mixture
  • 1/4 cup melted butter For brushing on the sticks.
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce Adds savory flavor.
  • 1/2 tablespoon Dijon mustard Can be adjusted to taste.
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried minced onion or onion powder Enhances the overall flavor.
  • 1/2 tablespoon poppy seeds Optional, for added texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a baking sheet by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out your crescent dough sheets and cut each one into 4 pieces.
  4. Distribute the ham evenly among the 8 pieces of dough.
  5. Place a cheddar cheese stick on top of the ham on each piece.
  6. Fold in the ends of each piece and then roll to seal.
  7. Place the prepared sticks on the baking sheet.
Baking
  1. In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, onion, and poppy seeds.
  2. Brush the butter mixture over each stick.
  3. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until they turn golden brown.

Notes

Serve these sticks warm paired with marinara or ranch dip. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month. To reheat, pop them in the oven for a few minutes.
