Preparation
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies until fine crumbs form.
- Add in the cream cheese and mix again until a soft dough forms.
- Using a 1 tablespoon measuring spoon, scoop out the dough and roll it between your palms. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat until done.
- Chill in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Melting Candy and Dipping
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy melts in 30-second increments, mixing in between.
- Using a chocolate dipping fork, dip each truffle ball into the melted candy, coating it evenly, then place back on the baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining truffles.
- Place any leftover candy melts in a piping bag and drizzle on top of the truffles. Add a sprinkle heart on top to create the iconic Grinch heart.
Finishing Touches
- Allow to set in the fridge for a few minutes, then enjoy!
Notes
These treats are best enjoyed right after making them, but can be stored in the fridge for 5-7 days and frozen for up to 3 months in an airtight container. They make a festive platter addition during holiday gatherings!
