Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the butter mixture.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Don’t overmix the dough and consider chilling it for 30 minutes for thicker cookies. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
