Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a standard-sized donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients until well combined.
- Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients.
- Pour in the melted butter, eggs, yogurt, and vanilla. Mix until just combined.
- Fill each donut pan well nearly full using a piping bag for that perfect smoothness.
- Wet your finger and run it along the center of each well to make those classic donut shapes.
- Bake for about 12 minutes or until set and lightly browned.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
Glazing
- For the optional glaze, mix confectioners’ sugar with a little milk until smooth.
- Dip the tops of the cooled donuts in melted butter and dredge in granulated sugar for that sweet crunch!
Notes
These donuts can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days, or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave for fresh-baked goodness. Don’t skip the xanthan gum for perfect texture!
