Preparation
  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for about 2-3 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  4. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Toss the cooked fettuccine in the sauce until well coated.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Perfect timing: Cook pasta just until al dente; it’ll keep cooking in the sauce. For added flavor, consider using freshly grated cheese and a hint of garlic or nutmeg. Leftover storage: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for longer storage. Reheat with a splash of cream or pasta water to restore creaminess.
