  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure the butter is softened for a smooth mix.
  • 2 tablespoons milk Use non-dairy milk for a vegan version.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract You can substitute vanilla bean paste for extra flavor.

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine heat-treated flour, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  2. Add softened butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. For chocolate chip flavor, fold in chocolate chips.
  4. For brownie batter flavor, add cocoa powder and mix well.
  5. For peanut butter flavor, fold in peanut butter.
  6. For funfetti sugar cookie flavor, fold in sprinkles.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator.

Notes

For a healthier twist, swap out half the butter with unsweetened applesauce. If you’re feeling adventurous, try adding chopped nuts or dried fruit for extra texture. Need it to be firmer? Just do a 10-minute chill in the fridge. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week or freeze for up to three months.
