  • 2 cups uncooked egg noodles Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1 pound lean ground beef Use lean meat for a healthier option.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped Provides flavor base.
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced For a depth of flavor; do not skip toasting.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Can substitute with soy sauce for an alternative flavor.
  • ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning Adds a blend of herbs to the dish.
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour Used to thicken the sauce.
  • 2 cups beef broth Adjust consistency as needed.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Season as desired.

Preparation
  1. Cook egg noodles in salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the noodles are cooking, brown ground beef and chopped onions in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Cooking
  1. Stir in garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 1 minute.
  2. Sprinkle flour into the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Gradually pour in beef broth while stirring until smooth. Simmer for 5-10 minutes, or until the gravy thickens.
  4. Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss with the beef mixture until well coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve immediately.

Notes

This dish can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for 2-3 months. Reheat with a splash of broth to restore texture. Optionally add extra veggies like spinach or peas for more nutrients.
