Ingredients
  

For the Cookies
  • 70 g Brown Sugar
  • 70 g Sugar
  • 115 g Butter (melted) Melted for mixing
  • 1 piece Egg Room temperature for better mixing
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 220 g Plain Flour
  • 1 tbsp Cornflour
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
For the Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 90 g Butter (softened) Use room temperature
  • 90 g Cream Cheese Use softened for easy mixing
  • 250 g Icing Sugar Sifted for smoother frosting

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, sugar, and melted butter until combined.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Gradually stir in the plain flour, cornflour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until it’s a smooth dough.
Baking
  1. Scoop out dollops of dough onto a baking tray.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden.
  3. Remove from oven and allow cookies to cool.
Frosting
  1. While cooling, whip up the cream cheese frosting by mixing softened butter and cream cheese.
  2. Add icing sugar until fluffy.
  3. Frost your cooled cookies and enjoy!

Notes

Store these cookies in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds for a fresh-baked taste.
