Ingredients
  

Churro Bites
  • 1 cup water For dough mixture.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter Adds richness to the dough.
  • 1 tablespoon sugar Sweetens the dough.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Enhances flavors.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Main ingredient for the dough.
  • 2 large eggs Bind the dough and add moisture.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavor enhancement.
  • 1/2 cup sugar For coating the churro bites.
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon For coating the churro bites.
  • to taste Cooking spray Prevents sticking in the air fryer.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  2. Stir in the flour until the mixture forms a ball.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time until mixture is smooth and glossy.
  5. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  6. Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  7. Pipe small lengths of dough onto parchment paper and freeze for about 10-15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  3. Place churro bites in the basket without touching.
  4. Air fry for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
Coating and Serving
  1. In a bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Toss warm churro bites in the sugar-cinnamon mix immediately after cooking.
  3. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or chocolate sauce.

Notes

Make sure to cut the dough evenly for even cooking. Chill properly before cooking to maintain shape. Try adding a splash of almond extract for extra flavor.
