Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Start by cooking the cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season the steak generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
Cooking the Steak
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak and sear for about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and let it rest.
Making the Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (don’t burn it!).
- Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, stirring until well combined. Gradually add in the parmesan, letting it melt down into a creamy sauce.
Combine and Serve
- Toss in the cooked tortellini and sliced steak. Mix until everything is coated in that heavenly sauce.
- Top with parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper for garnish, if desired. Serve hot!
Notes
Don't skip toasting the garlic — it makes all the difference! For a quick finish, prep the sauce and tortellini earlier in the day, then combine them just before serving.
