  • 1 cup peanut butter Room temperature works best for easy mixing.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar Adjust according to the consistency of the peanut butter.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Can substitute with almond extract for a nutty twist.
For the Chocolate Layer
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Melt in microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals.
  • as needed Heart-shaped candy molds Use to shape the hearts.
  • as desired Sprinkles Optional, for decoration.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
Assembly
  1. Pour a small amount of melted chocolate into the heart-shaped molds, spreading it to cover the bottom.
  2. Add a small amount of the peanut butter mixture on top of the chocolate in the molds.
  3. Cover the peanut butter layer with more melted chocolate, ensuring it is sealed.
  4. If desired, add sprinkles on top for that extra flair.
Setting
  1. Freeze for about 30 minutes until set.
  2. Carefully remove the hearts from the molds and serve.

Notes

These hearts can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months. Let thaw for a couple of minutes before serving.
