Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
- In a large bowl, whip the egg whites with the cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
- In another bowl, mix together the egg yolks, shredded cheese, and salt until well combined.
- Gently fold the egg yolk mixture into the whipped egg whites until no white streaks remain.
Baking
- Spoon the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, forming small cloud shapes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the clouds are golden and firm.
- Let them cool slightly before serving as a bread substitute for your favorite toppings.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven or toaster oven.
