Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 12 oz Rigatoni pasta Use other shapes like penne or farfalle if desired.
  • 1 tsp Salt For boiling pasta.
For the Steak
  • 1 lb Cajun-seasoned steak tips Frozen steak tips can be used, thaw completely before cooking.
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil For cooking steak.
For the Sauce
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream For a creamy sauce.
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese Grated.
  • 1 tsp Black pepper To taste.
  • 1 tsp Red pepper flakes To taste, adjust for heat preference.

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook rigatoni in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cooking the Steak
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add Cajun-seasoned steak tips and cook until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add butter, garlic, and onion. Sauté until fragrant and onions are translucent.
  2. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and creamy.
Combining and Serving
  1. Add the cooked rigatoni and steak tips back into the skillet, mixing to combine.
  2. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.
  3. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Consider adding chopped bell peppers or spinach for extra nutrition. Adjust red pepper flakes for desired spice level. This dish can also be made vegan by swapping out steak for plant-based protein and using cashew cream instead of heavy cream.
