Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Add the oats, cinnamon, salt, honey or maple syrup, nuts, or chocolate chips, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix until combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
Store these bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 5 days, or in the freezer for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave for about 20 seconds for a fresh taste.
