  • 1 apple, chopped Any variety of apple works.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Optional sweetener
  • 1/2 cup yogurt Optional for creaminess.
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional for added flavor.

Preparation
  1. In a mason jar or bowl, combine the rolled oats and milk.
  2. Add the chopped apple, cinnamon, and your choice of sweetener (if using).
  3. Stir in yogurt and vanilla extract if desired.
  4. Mix well until everything is combined.
  5. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Serving
  1. In the morning, stir the mixture and add more milk if necessary.

Notes

These oats can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For added texture and flavor, top with more chopped apples, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or a drizzle of honey.
