Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter and then mix in brown sugar until combined.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add this dry mix to the butter mixture. Fold in the diced apples and chopped pecans.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  2. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
