Pickle Preparation
  • 1 cup dill pickles or any type of pickles you prefer
Breading Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs preferably panko
  • to taste salt for seasoning
  • to taste pepper for seasoning
Cooking Supplies
  • as needed cooking spray or oil for air frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the pickles to your desired thickness.
  3. Set up a breading station: add flour to one bowl, beaten eggs in another bowl, and mix breadcrumbs seasoned with salt and pepper in a third bowl.
Breading
  1. Dip each pickle slice first in flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs. Ensure they are well coated.
  2. Place the breaded pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  3. Spray lightly with cooking spray or oil.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  2. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crunch, try using crushed cornflakes instead of panko breadcrumbs. Avoid overcrowding the fryer basket for even cooking. You can make this recipe vegan by using flax eggs and dairy-free breadcrumbs.
