  • 2 slices thick bread (sourdough or sandwich bread) Choose your favorite type of thick bread.
  • 2 eggs eggs Fresh eggs for the best results.
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your personal fave) Use your favorite cheese variety.
  • 1 tablespoon butter Optional; for buttering the bread.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread and press a well into the center.
  3. Crack one egg into each well.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheese around the edges or on top of the egg whites.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for 6–8 minutes until the egg whites are set and the cheese is gooey.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, and sprinkle some herbs if you feel fancy, then serve hot.

Notes

Toast the bread first for extra crunch. Swap in different cheese varieties for unique flavors — try pepper jack for a spicy kick. Get creative with add-ins like diced bell peppers or spinach for a healthy twist. To go vegan, use a plant-based egg substitute and dairy-free cheese.
